Black History and Heritage Book
Club for parents and children in 2nd through 5th grades.
Families are invited to join this educational, informational and FUN
Heritage Book Club to stay culturally connected in the summertime @
Afri-Ware 266 W. Lake St. Oak Park, 4-5:30pm FREE/Donations
appreciated. Upcoming dates are TBA. Each
family will read the book before the book club date. Children will
prepare a written summary of the book(s) (1 paragraph to 1 page).
Families will bring fruit and juice for refreshments. Afterwards, the
group will decide to go to a nearby playground or swimming pool.
